About Lisa Rose
I’m Lisa Rose Thorpe, a proud Boonwurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wemba Wemba, Gunnai and Gunditjmara woman. Committed to representing my people and communities with honesty and integrity.
Born and raised in inner-city Melbourne in a grassroots community, fortunate to be guided by Elders and freedom fighters who’ve fought for our human rights, fairness and justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities. My career of over 30 years has been dedicated to that fight & community advocacy particularly in health, sport and education.
Our Melbourne community, made up of many different Nations, has been a strong advocate for the people it serves especially over the decades of struggle. I want to be able to contribute to that hard work through our peoples voices and aspirations.
