Details

Join newly Elected Co-chair of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, Djaran Murray-Jackson, to learn about the decades-long journey toward Treaty in Victoria.

In 2025, Australia’s first Treaty between First Peoples in Victoria and the Victorian Government was negotiated and signed. Treaty aims to create a fairer future for all Victorians and will focus on important issues like improving health, education and justice for First Peoples.

This included the creation of Gellung Warl (meaning “tip of the spear” in Gunaikurnai), a new body established through the Treaty.

Learn about Treaty, Gellung Warl, and how communities can support and get involved. There will be time for discussion, questions, and a chance to pick up some Treaty merch.

Allies and First Peoples are welcome.
