Gellung Warl acknowledges former Premier Hon. Jacinta Allan MP for her work towards Truth and Treaty in Victoria. In 2025 Jacinta Allan became the first leader, anywhere in Australia, to sign a Treaty with First Peoples.
Jacinta Allan progressed the historic Treaty negotiations and demonstrated leadership towards embracing the self-determination of First Peoples.
Prior to signing Treaty, Jacinta Allan participated in Truth-telling and healing, by appearing at the Yoorrook Justice Commission, where she acknowledged the impact of colonisation on First Peoples.
In December 2025, Jacinta Allan made a formal apology to First Peoples on behalf of the State, acknowledging the dispossession, forced child removal, systematic economic exclusion and violence inflicted upon First Peoples.
